Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how EntertainTech Solutions LLC collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Lampstone app for iPhone. It is written to clearly describe our data practices for Apple App Review and for our users.
1. Who we are
Lampstone is operated by EntertainTech Solutions LLC. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@blowy.tech.
2. What Lampstone does
Lampstone shows a vertical feed of Scripture grouped by theme, a verse of the day, and lock screen and home screen widgets. All verses, introductions, and backgrounds ship inside the app itself. The app has no user accounts: it never asks for an email address, a name, or a password, and there is nothing to sign up for.
3. What stays on your device
- Verses you save to favorites.
- Your reading streak and the daily counter that paces how much you read.
- The themes you pick and your app settings.
This data lives locally on your iPhone in the app's private container. It is removed when you delete the app.
4. What we send to our servers
When the app first runs, it registers your device with our service so that subscriptions and the daily verse notification work. That registration contains only:
- Your subscription-provider user identifier (an Apphud identifier tied to the device, not to you personally).
- Your push notification token, so we can send the verse of the day if you allow notifications.
- Your time zone, so the daily verse arrives at a sensible hour.
- Your platform (iOS).
We do not send your favorites, your themes, your streak, or your reading history to our servers.
5. Information collected by analytics and attribution
- Usage and diagnostics. Aggregated, non-identifying app-usage events (for example, opening a screen or completing the daily reading) and crash and performance diagnostics, collected through the third-party services listed in section 8.
- Device identifiers. The Identifier for Vendor (IDFV), which is specific to our apps on your device, is always available to these services. The Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) is used only if you allow tracking in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, collection of the advertising identifier is switched off.
- Subscription status. Whether you hold an active subscription, managed through Apple and our subscription provider. We never receive your full payment card details.
- Support information. Anything you voluntarily send us by email.
6. How we use information
- To deliver the verse of the day and keep widgets up to date.
- To operate and improve the app, understand feature usage, and fix crashes.
- To measure the performance of our marketing and app installs, subject to your tracking choice.
- To manage subscriptions, unlock premium features, and restore purchases.
7. Advertising and App Tracking Transparency
Lampstone does not show ads. We do use advertising measurement to understand which campaigns bring people to the app. iOS asks, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, whether you allow tracking across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, the advertising identifier (IDFA) is not collected or used to track you. Your choice can be changed at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
8. Third-party services
We use the following services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Apple — App Store, in-app subscriptions, and platform services. apple.com/legal/privacy
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics & Cloud Messaging) — usage analytics, crash reporting, and push notifications. firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Adjust — install attribution and marketing measurement. adjust.com/terms/privacy-policy
- Meta (Facebook SDK & Audience Network) — advertising measurement and attribution. facebook.com/policy.php
- Apphud — subscription management on top of Apple's in-app purchases. apphud.com/privacy
9. Permissions we do not ask for
Lampstone does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, or photo library. The only permission the app asks for is notifications, and only so it can send you the verse of the day.
10. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers named above to the extent needed to run analytics, attribution, advertising measurement, notifications, and subscriptions, or where required by law.
11. Data retention
Your favorites, streak, themes, and settings remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. The device registration described in section 4 is kept while your installation is active and is deleted on request. Data handled by the third-party services above is retained according to their respective policies. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to help you.
12. Your choices and rights
- Change your tracking choice in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Turn off push notifications in Settings → Notifications.
- Delete your on-device data by clearing your favorites or uninstalling the app.
- Depending on your region (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. See also our Data Deletion page.
13. Children's privacy
Lampstone is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
14. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data in transit and at rest and limit unnecessary access. No system is completely secure, but we work to safeguard the information involved.
15. International users
Our servers and the third-party services we use may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, such transfers rely on the safeguards described in those providers' privacy policies.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material updates will be reflected by changing the "Last updated" date on this page.
