Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how EntertainTech Solutions LLC collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Roadcrew app for iPhone. It is written to clearly describe our data practices for Apple App Review and for our users.
1. Who we are
Roadcrew is operated by EntertainTech Solutions LLC. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@blowy.tech.
2. What Roadcrew does
Roadcrew is a social drive tracker. It detects when you are driving, records the trip, and lets you compare distance, Drive Score (a measure of smooth driving) and streaks with friends and in weekly leagues. Roadcrew never ranks or compares drivers by speed.
3. What stays on your device
- Routes and raw GPS points. The route of each trip and the location points it was built from are stored only on your iPhone. They are never uploaded to our server.
- Share images. Weekly recap and trip share cards are rendered on your device. An image leaves your iPhone only if you choose to share it, through the app you pick.
- Settings. Your preferences, such as how trips start (automatically, manually, or through a CarPlay or Bluetooth automation).
This data lives in the app's private container on your iPhone and is removed when you delete the app.
4. What we send to our server
The social features (friends, leagues, and leaderboards) run on our server at api2.blowy.tech. We send it only:
- An account identifier derived from the user identifier of our subscription provider (Apphud). Roadcrew does not ask for your email address, phone number, or password.
- Your profile: the handle and display name you choose and the preset car artwork you select.
- Social data: your friends list, the invites you send and receive, the users you block, and the reports you submit.
- Trip summaries: date, duration, distance, Drive Score, transport type, and average and maximum speed. Average and maximum speed are used only to detect cheating (for example, a “drive” that was really a train or a plane) and are never shown to other users.
- A push notification token, if you allow notifications, so we can tell you about friend requests, league results, and similar activity.
We never send coordinates or routes to our server. Other users see only your handle, display name, car artwork, and your distance, Drive Score, and streak. They never see where you drove, when exactly you drove, or how fast.
5. Information collected by analytics and attribution
- Usage and diagnostics. App-usage events (for example, opening a screen or finishing a trip) and crash and performance diagnostics, collected through the third-party services listed in section 8. These events do not include your location or routes.
- Device identifiers. The Identifier for Vendor (IDFV), which is specific to our apps on your device, is available to these services. The Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) is used only if you allow tracking in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- Subscription status. Whether you hold an active subscription, managed through Apple and our subscription provider. We never receive your payment card details.
- Support information. Anything you voluntarily send us by email.
6. How we use information
- To detect and record your drives and show your trip history.
- To run friends, weekly leagues, leaderboards, and streaks, and to keep them fair.
- To handle blocks and reports and keep the community safe.
- To send the notifications you allow.
- To operate and improve the app, understand feature usage, and fix crashes.
- To measure the performance of our marketing and app installs, subject to your tracking choice.
- To manage subscriptions, unlock premium features, and restore purchases.
7. Advertising and App Tracking Transparency
Roadcrew does not show ads. We use advertising measurement to understand which campaigns bring people to the app. iOS asks, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, whether you allow tracking across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, the advertising identifier (IDFA) is not collected or used to track you. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
8. Third-party services
We use the following services, each governed by its own privacy policy. None of them receives your routes or GPS points.
- Apple — App Store, in-app purchases, and platform services. apple.com/legal/privacy
- Apphud — subscription management on top of Apple's in-app purchases. apphud.com/privacy
- Adjust — install attribution and marketing measurement, using the advertising identifier only with your tracking consent. adjust.com/terms/privacy-policy
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics & Cloud Messaging) — usage analytics, crash reporting, and push notifications. firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Meta (Facebook SDK) — measurement of our ad campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, active only when we enable it for the app, and using the advertising identifier only with your tracking consent. facebook.com/policy.php
9. Permissions
Roadcrew asks for a permission only for the feature that needs it. You can change every choice at any time in the iPhone Settings app.
- Location, including “Always” — Roadcrew uses precise location to measure your trips. Background (“Always”) access lets it detect and record drives automatically without you opening the app. GPS is used only while you are driving; the rest of the time the app relies on motion activity to notice when a drive starts. If you allow only “While Using the App,” you can still start and stop trips by hand.
- Motion & Fitness — Roadcrew reads the motion activity your iPhone already classifies (for example, “in a car” or “walking”) to tell when you start and stop driving. It does not read your health or fitness data.
- Notifications — for friend requests, league results, and trip updates you choose to receive.
- Tracking — Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, so we can measure which ad campaigns brought you to Roadcrew (see section 7).
Roadcrew does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or photo library.
10. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your location, routes, or trip data with advertisers or data brokers. Information is shared only with the service providers named above to the extent needed to run the app, analytics, attribution, notifications, and subscriptions; with other Roadcrew users as described in section 4; or where required by law.
11. Data retention
- Routes, GPS points, and settings remain on your device until you delete a trip, delete your account, or uninstall the app.
- Trip summaries on our server are kept for 13 months and then deleted.
- Reports about users are kept for 12 months and then deleted.
- Your profile, friends, invites, and blocks are kept while your account exists.
- Data handled by the third-party services above is retained according to their own policies. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to help you.
12. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app. Deletion permanently removes, from our server, your profile, friendships, invites, trip summaries, and reports. Routes stored on your device are removed when you delete the app. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription; manage that in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. You can also request deletion by email; see our Data Deletion page.
13. Your choices and rights
- Change or revoke location access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
- Turn off Motion & Fitness access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness.
- Change your tracking choice in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Turn off push notifications in Settings → Notifications.
- Block or report any user from their profile in the app.
- Depending on your region (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@blowy.tech.
14. Children's privacy
Roadcrew is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at support@blowy.tech and we will delete it.
15. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data in transit and at rest and limit unnecessary access. No system is completely secure, but we work to safeguard the information involved.
16. International users
Our servers and the third-party services we use may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, such transfers rely on the safeguards described in those providers' privacy policies.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material updates will be reflected by changing the effective date on this page.
