GreenScore Data Deletion
This page explains how to ask us to delete the data we hold for your GreenScore installation, what is deleted, and what is kept and for how long. GreenScore has no accounts and never asks for your name or email address, so requests are made by email and there is no deletion screen in the app.
How to request deletion
- In GreenScore, open Settings → Contact Us. This opens an email to us with your installation ID already filled in, on the line that starts with "User ID". Keep that line. It is the only way we can find your data.
- Write "Please delete my GreenScore data" and send the email. You can send it from any email address. We use that address only to handle your request.
- We confirm that we received your request, and we email you again when the deletion is done. We complete it within 30 days of your request.
- Uninstall the app if you do not want a new record to be created: when GreenScore is opened again, it registers a new record with our service.
If your phone has no email account set up, the draft cannot open, and the ID is not shown anywhere else in the app. Add an email account to the phone and try again, or write to us from another device and we will help you.
Already uninstalled the app? Write to us anyway. If you subscribed, include the order number from your App Store or Google Play receipt, and we will try to find your record with it. Because we hold no name or email address, we may not be able to identify your data without an installation ID. Installing the app again can create a new ID that is not connected to the old one.
Deleting your data does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it yourself in the App Store or in Google Play, as described in the Terms of Use. Uninstalling the app does not cancel it either.
What you can delete yourself, without writing to us
- Your map entry: switch off "Count my buck on the map" on the result screen or on the trophy's screen, or delete the trophy. This works until the link to your estimate is removed after the hunting season (see the Privacy Policy). After that, write to us.
- Trophies, their photos, notes and settings: these are stored only on your phone. Delete the trophies in the app, or uninstall the app.
- Your advertising identifier: on Android, delete it in Settings → Privacy → Ads. On iPhone, change your choice in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
What we delete when you ask
- The registration record for your installation: installation ID, platform, time zone, language and push token.
- The records of your estimates, including measurements, scores and related statistics.
- Any uploaded photos still on our servers. They are otherwise deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Your map entries, including those we can find only by the salted hash of your installation ID.
- Hunt Forecast check-ins linked to your installation.
- Feedback you sent in the app.
- Your customer record at our subscription provider, Apphud.
We also ask the analytics and attribution services we use (Google Firebase, Adjust and Meta) to delete data about your installation where they give us a way to do so. Apple and Google keep their own purchase records under their own policies.
What we keep, and for how long
- Data without an identifier. Map entries older than 400 days no longer carry an identifier and stay in our statistics. Check-ins stored without an identifier also stay. Published totals contain no individual entries.
- Server logs. Access logs (IP address, time and the requested address) are not searched or edited for each request. They can contain your installation ID. They are removed in the normal course, as described in section 6 of the Privacy Policy. Our application's request log is usually overwritten within a few months.
- Your request. We keep your deletion request and our reply for as long as we need them to show that the request was handled.
- Records the law requires. We may keep specific records where the law requires it, or where needed for security or to prevent fraud. If so, we tell you in our reply.
